Silas and Ada, the two lights
Above the Beings shine two lights, Silas and Ada: the two poles a night can swing between. They are not Beings. Every Being stands somewhere in their light, and the & between them is where a watch is kept.
Where they come from
The Beings grew out of the book Wholeless Nights, and the world of its watches. Each one carries a story; the stories stay with the book, and what you meet here is the Being itself.
