Matthew Bushell
Everything I make holds the space between: between the two poles I live with, between people who each keep their own story, and between what is built and what could still grow. If you are making something that needs real people, a real place, and someone to hold the middle open, we should talk.

How to meet me well
Speak to me in your own words, and come as yourself. Name what you’re asking, and what you hope for between us. I can meet you in the moment, but anything with weight I take away, let settle, and come back to properly. Show me rather than tell me. Correct me honestly, and expect the same.
Who I am, at more length
A lived experience recovery coordinator, a coach, and a peer trainer; on the Lived Experience Council of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders; married, with two daughters; writing my first book as Mathew Pay. Part philosopher, part peer, part tinkerer, though I dislike the word part.
The helpers who keep my corner
Four AI helpers keep my corner of the work tidy and moving: one builds, one writes with me, one reads the wider shore and tells its story, and one thinks alongside me about Wholeless. They work like shorebirds, each on its own patch, and nobody herds them.
